    Perfect !
I was actually going to try to degrease the old fan thinking that I would never find a replacement for something installed in 1948. I was pleasantly surprised to find a brand new one and excited to have fan working again after years of non use. Fast shipping too. Thanks !

All that was required to remove the old unit was taking the chrome cover off( one screw), unplugging the power cord, loosening two screws on the old B-Unit and dropping the entire assembly out. The new unit fit back in like a glove.
