Remove top cap and dis-assembled stapler. Found Valve was cracked. Replace "Valve and Bumper". Oiled everything and re-assembled. Tested. Works great. (Bought this in 1997). Glad that "eReplacmentParts" had the parts. THANKS

Remove the cover with an allen wrench,
Removed the broken bumper, and cleaned out the tool completely
Installed the new bumper
Replaced the cover

Took off the top and removed the old bumper and cleaned out the entire inside of the gun and oiled inside to. Installed the new bumper it works great now.
