Time Consuming: But We’ll Worth It
After several weeks the replacement part arrived at my home. I took my weed wacker to a friend who was able to replace the old head with the new one. It took several hours to to get the old one removed. But once the new one went on, with an adjustment, the weed wacker worked very well!! Actually, it’s better than when I bought it new! A happy customer.

Trying to get screw out of head assembly. I tightened it to much when I replaced it. Is it right hand thread. I forgot. Turn to right to loosen. Thanks.

Hold the string head in place with one hand. With your other hand, rotate the knob in the direction shown by the arrows (counterclockwise). We hope this helps. Parts Used
The head had to be cut with a hacksaw. Once removed the new head went on well. When I tried it out, it was even better than the original Toro head. I’m very happy with the replacement you sent me.
