This genuine OEM brush roll assembly designed for Bissell steam carpet cleaner. The spinning motion of the brush rolls picks up the dust and dirt from the floor. Over time bristles will wear out and would need to be replaced. It is made out of plastic and it is sold individually.
To complete this part you would need a screwdriver.
• Remove the cover/housing
• Remove old brush roller and secure the new one into place
• Re-assemble and test the unit

You have to buy 2 ea. of the same number. It doesn't come as a set. When they arrive there's one rod attached to ea. roller. You have to take rollers off and put them on the old rods.

Carpet cleaner was ejecting water all of the time without the trigger pulled.

Most time spent was finding the problem. I didn't know exactly how the unit worked so I started taking things apart and checking switches. It wasn't until the second night that I disassembled the power unit and discovered the faulty solenoid valve. I was pleased to find that it was a common part. When the part arrived I installed it reassembled the power unit and I was back in business.

Sprocket on one end of one roller was heavily worn. Replaced the brush roller and re-assembled the brush roller housing.

The brush roller action on a steam cleaner no longer functioned. I took the housing off of the roller assembly and noted that one of the two bands had broken (also replaced both bands) and one end of one roller was heavily worn and would not function even with new bands. Disassembling the rollers and the bands was quite easy once the housing was removed and the installation of the bands and brush roller was quite easy. Then replaced the housing assembly and the external canister covers. Fully operational with minimum frustration. The time turnaround on the specific parts was really quite fast in 2-3 days.
