Product Description ?

This is a genuine replacement part designed for use with Bosch hammer drills. This assembly secures carbon brushes around the armature. It consists of a plastic ring, two (2) metal brush holders with springs and two (2) carbon brushes.

To complete this repair your would need a screwdriver.

• First remove screws holding the housing
• Carefully separate housing to gain access to armature and brush holder
• Disconnect the wires
• Remove the screws holding brush plate
• Remove old brush holder and install the new assembly
• Reassemble and test your tool

    Employees over heated the hammer drill it melted one of the brush plate on one of the brushes.

    Remove the screw from one side of the housing
    Try to keep as many part in one half as you can, for the others that have to be removed take pictures of where the are.
    Remove the old brush plate
    Install the new brush plate
    Install all of the parts
    Screw the housings together








    I disassembled the drill and removed the assembly. Then removed the brush plate, cleaned the armature on the brush end with fine sand paper. Looked up the brush plate on line at e replacement parts.com by giving them the model no. I was real careful to watch every step to remove the parts then reinstall it in reverse from disassembly.

    Drill would not run in forward, only in reverse - brush plate slightly melted around one brush

    Screwdriver, Pliers, Torx driver

    1. Opened cased with torx driver
    2. Split case open
    3. Removed spade clip from outside brush
    4. Removed stator, armature, hammer device, gear train, and chuck as one assembly
    5. Removed stator from above assembly
    6. Removed 2 screws holding brush holder to stator
    7. Removed old brush holder
    8. Installed new brush holder with 2 screws
    9. Released brushes with small screwdriver
    10. Installed both brush wires, and re-assembled stator, armature, gear train, and chuck
    11. Installed removed case half
    12. Test run - success
