Turned the old one 90 degrees counterclockwise and pulled it off.
Slid the new one on and turned it 90 degrees clockwise.

Removed the old clamp and knob assembly using only pliers. Replaced it with a new one and the Job was done. This was for my Ryobi Trimmer.

The boom clamp bolt threads were stripped. It wouldn't hold the attachment on securely.
