Screwdriver, Snap ring pliers

Not much to it really. Remove the blade, using a pair of snap ring pliers to remove the blade shield. You need a Philips screw driver to remove the blade case from the motor. The new part does not come with grease so you need to put grease in it before putting it back together again. If you pull it apart like I did the armature came out of the motor. I do not know how else to take it apart without the armature coming out. To put it back in you need to pull the brushes out, but that was not hard to do. Slip the armature back in and put the screws that bolt the motor to the blade case in. Put the brushes back in and screw the caps on. Put your blade guard in place and reinstall the snap ring, put the blade on and you are good to go.
