This replacement drive belt is a high quality item that is supplied directly from original equipment manufacturer for use with Murray lawn tractors. It is the the main deck belt that rotates the blade. Make sure to clean pulleys before installing the new belt to ensure top performance and longevity with your new belt. Over time rubber belts may wear out and stretch eventually requiring replacement. Please note this durable rubber belt is sold individually.

    Screwdriver, Pliers, Socket set, Wrench Set, Adjustable Wrench, Hydraulic jack, screw jack, jack stands

    1. Jacked up tractor and placed on jack stands
    2. Placed screw jack under transmission, removed wheels and nut and bolts holding transmission to frame
    3. Lowered transmission using screw jack and removed all bars, belts and the pulley
    4. Put new pulley on, secured it
    5. Removed old motion belt and replaced it with new belt
    6. Placed transmission on screw jack and lifted it up tp frame after positioning bars and belts to their locations. Secured all nuts and bolts.
    Tractor is not finished because the carburetor needs replacing

    Drive belt was worn and would not work other than first gear. Blade belt was worn, since I had to remove this belt to gain access to drive belt, why not replace.
