This is a genuine OEM part. The Penn bail spring is compatible with several fishing reels, and is sold individually. The metal spring fastens the bail arm to the rotor cup. You will need a screwdriver and a pair of pliers for the installation.

    I just removed the side cover and undid the screw that locks in the spool shaft slid the old one out slid the new one in and then put the screw back in. On the bail spring basically just un do the bail screw take the old Spring out set the new one in and tighten the screw back up .

    Bail spring broke.

    1. Removed the bail attachment screw.
    2. Accessed and replaced the broken spring.
    3. Cleaned and lubricated all moving parts of the reel.
    4. Re-attached the bail.

    1. Remove 2 screws holding bail to reel.
    2. Remove and replace broken bail spring.
    3. Re-attach bail to reel.
    4. Go fishing
