    Less than 15 minutes

    Tools Used

    Wrench Set, Clamp

4 Rubber wear (bumper) plates were dry rot. Ordered new parts. Bottom ones had to slide them on and then pop them in with a clamp. Top ones just attached with two Allen head bolts. Backed out the two bolts put the new part on and put the two bolts back. Very easy to do.

Coil roofing nailer wouldn't fire air would leak from trigger valve. Wear plate needed replaced

    Jeremie - July 30, 2017
    Tool Type

    Nailer

    Difficulty

    Easy

    Time

    15-30 minutes

    Tools Used

Screwdriver, Allen wrench and air compressor

Watched couple you tube videos before receiving parts and also followed directions supplied with new valve. Removed screws holding trigger then removed pins holding valve in with the supplied tool. Old valve didn't want to come out so I blew air into with blow gun to remove old valve. Clean the valve bore. Using supplied I ring lube I lubed the new valve o-rings and the inside of the valve bore and slid the new valve in careful not to damage new part. Reinstalled pins, trigger and oiled the gun and tried it out. Works like new again. Wear plate was simple, two allen head screws to remove it and just installed new part.
