Product Description ?

This is a genuine OEM sourced armature assembly that is specially designed for Dewalt hammer drill drivers. The armature is the inner portion of the drill motor. This assembly consists of an armature, fan, and two bearings. Symptoms of a bad armature include excessive sparks or smoke coming from the sides of the drill during use. It is highly recommended to replace both carbon brushes when replacing an armature. Remember to be especially careful of the armature fan when you remove it, because if you break it, you will have to replace the entire armature.

To replace this armature you would need a screwdriver.

Well I over used my drill on a long hot day and it started smoking and blowing chunks of stuff from inside, so I took the shell off the drill and pulled the trigger to be sure what was smoking and to see where all the chunks of melted stuff came from and sure enough the armature assembly was just black and crusty and so I ordered a new one and put it in and it's as good as new. Only needed a small torx bit screw driver to do it. It's quite self explanatory on how to repair it.
