This OEM white-colored ice maker kit is designed for your upright freezer. It includes the icemaker that makes 8-radius ice cubes, a water valve, a water line, an ice container, and necessary hardware. It works by drawing water from the water inlet valve and keeping it within the ice mold until it becomes frozen solid. Once frozen, it automatically releases the ice and refills the mold, continuing this cycle until the ice container is completely filled. To install the icemaker, start by removing the ice tray racks, freezer shelves, and any compartment plugs. For models with an exterior condenser, detach the bracket while keeping the sound baffle intact. If the condenser is inside the compartment, remove the screws securing the baffle. Peel off the label and foam from the ice maker slot. Push the water inlet tube into the back slot of the fridge until it is snug against the back. Connect the plastic water supply tubing to the inlet tube, gently tightening the compression nut. Attach the adjustable leveling bracket without fully tightening it. Secure the icemaker using mounting screws and the connector. Make sure the water inlet tube is inside the fill cup, adjust the leveling bracket, reinstall the freezer shelf, and place the ice container. Align the water valve bracket with the pre-drilled holes in the rear panel. Connect the wiring harness to the water valve and insert the water supply tubing. Clean the back of the cabinet before securing the clamps, and then reinstall the previously removed condenser or baffle.
