This is a 5-quart stoneware dish that fits inside the heating base of a slow cooker. The stoneware dish is where the food cooks inside the slow cooker. It is designed so it can easily be removed by simply lifting it up with both hands (once cooled). If it has cracked or been damaged in any way, it should be replaced with this OEM replacement bowl. Stoneware dishes are generally safe for the dishwasher but washing it by hand may help to preserve it for longer. Never use abrasive cleaners as this may scratch the surface.
