This is a genuine General Electric, Hotpoint part for use with Refrigerators. The water inlet valve assembly supplies water to the ice maker and water dispenser in the refrigerator. The most common reason for replacing the water inlet valve assembly is if one of the solenoids went bad and not allowing water to come into the icemaker or dispenser. The tools that you will need to replace the water inlet valve assembly is a 1/4" nut driver, flathead screwdriver and a razor blade.
