It is an authentic manufacturer-sourced replacement part which is specially designed for use with Whirlpool and Maytag Ranges. The Surface Burner receptacle kit connects the wire harness to the surface element. The most common reason for this replacement part is the burner element is not heating or the receptacle is burned out. This part includes a ceramic block, high temperature wire nuts, a metal bracket, and wires. Unplug the range or shut off the house circuit breaker for the range before installing this part. Tools you will need are a Philips screwdriver and wire strippers.

Removed old burner socket by cutting wiring and one screw.
Attached adapter parts to new burner socket. (Self-tapping screws was difficult to start due to smallness and size.)
Re-strung wiring from burner hole to switch location.
Spliced wiring with provided ceramic twist caps.
Reattached burner socket.
Replaced New burner and Drip Bowl.
Tested for proper operation.
Done.
