This part is made of hard plastic and the upper dish rack wheel includes: the roller and axle for the upper dishwasher rack. The roller and axle help the dishwasher rack roll on the rail to slide back and forth. Before you change the replacement part, do not forget to unplug the dishwasher or turn off the breaker to avoid injury. Also, turn off water to the dishwasher that is underneath the sink. When you know that you need to replace this part, is when, the support or the wheel are run-down and not supporting the rack. You will need a screwdriver to remove the end caps on the end of the rail to get the dishwasher rack out of the dishwasher.
