The screw and block allow the #7102 Cross Slide to move. It is an identical item that was installed on a new unit. Hi James, Thank you for your question. The screw and block measures approximately 17-1/2 inches long with the outer diameter of the threads measuring approximately 5/8 inches. To verify if this is the correct part for your lathe, we will need the model number from it. It may be found on a label on top of the lathe.
