This is a genuine General Electric, Kenmore and Hotpoint for use with Ranges. The Oven gas valve controls gas flow to the bake and, broil burners in the oven. This valve has a 3/8 of an inch inlet as well as a half of an inch PSI. This safety valve has a 12-inch capillary and it comes with a pilot thermocouple and an opening. Use this valve with your GE brand gas oven. This part is sold individually. The most common reason for replacing the oven gas valve not letting the gas out. The tools that you will need to replace the oven gas valve is a 3/4" wrench, 9/16" wrench, flathead screwdriver, 3/8" nut driver and a 1/4" nut driver. Unplug the range and shut off the gas supply before installing this part. Gas line connections must be properly leak checked after this repair. Wear work gloves to protect your hands. |
