This is an original Rorter Cable replacement part manufactured for use with routers. The switch has two positions and is used to send power from the cord to the motor. Power tool switches do eventually wear out, and a good indication that the switch is worn is that the tool begins to run intermittingly. This switch is sold as an individual replacement part.

Good switch,,, on off markings backwards
on off markings backwards but the switch works great! There were no instructions to use a piece of the old switch so I had to install the switch again after I figured that out.

It comes without a bezel, so you must pry off the old switch and snap on to the new switch. This will properly mount the switch onto the router's cover.
