The model and serial numbers for your elliptical will be found on the front cover of your manual or you will find the information on the serial number decal on the elliptical. Unplug from power source
Remove all covers around the base of the bike
Locate resistance servo connected to magnets
Disconnect electrical connection from servo
Remove screw connecting magnet push rod
Remove 4 servo hold down screws
Remove servo
Install new servo with reverse instructions
Unplug from power source
Remove all covers around the base of the bike
Locate resistance servo connected to magnets
Disconnect electrical connection from servo
Remove screw connecting magnet push rod
Remove 4 servo hold down screws
Remove servo
Install new servo with reverse instructions

Removed internal bike covers on both sides of my pro form tour lefrance. Took Phillips screw driver remover four aces that hold the resistance motor. Unplugged it from the connector removed it and placed the new part back the same way. Part was perfect fit. Replacesd the covers and my bike works again. It is a good ideal to unplug these bikes after use every time

Screwdriver, Socket set, Wrench Set, 3/8 and 1/4 drive ratchets

Removed free motion pedal cranks and top cover. Removed side cover panels. Removed original resistance motor, flywheel and belt. Cleaned bearing shafts and put in a dab of grease while I had the chance. Cleaned all areas exposed by the panel removal. Installed new belt and motor. Tested before reassembly. Your motor is a perfect replacement. Also noted new motor is heavier than original which generally means heavier windings which is desirable. Bike which is 11 years old works as good as new now. Btw I’m a gear head and have restored several American classic cars so this was a really easy job for me.

Removing/replacing the covers and shrouds was the worst. I had to make a cut through one piece to assist with disassembly. Installing the part was a piece of cake.
