Wheels and back door assembly

1. Removed wheel, it has a nut simple socket set will work
2. Replaced wheel with new one. Be careful of the drive covers (mine is self-propelled)
3. Rear door had a broken bracket. Getting it off was easy.
4. The new door did not have the springs so I reused the old ones(cleaned them in oil.)
5. The springs have a straight end and a bent end. They slide off the piece that goes on the pin.
6.The only hitch in this was, the pin the door fits on has to be backed out to get it on.
It takes a star fitting I didn't have. My brother works on cars and he had one.
7. Back the pin out. Put the bracket on the side that is still in place. Line up the side you have backed out, screw the pin back in.

Rear door broke at plastic hinge

Replaced new door. Needed to remove one rear wheel. Easy fix.

Rear door on my old Craftsman mower broke and would not stay in place blowing grass trimmings past the bag.

Removed an bolt pin that the door hinged on with a torx bit. Put the new door and the old springs on the other side pin, and placed the pin I took out back in and just placed the springs back in place. Easier than I thought

Rear door broke piece where it holds the spring.

I use a socket set with a star bit went through the tire and removed the screw. Then put it back together with the spring and each side. It worked fantastic!

Read Door Broken

1. Removed broken part w/hex wrench. Right and left pivot.
2. Installed new part. Used pliers and screwdriver to tension right and left spring.
3. Tested part.
Worked perfectly.

Removed torx screw from one side placed spring on rear door and slide over screw mount on other side. Replaced spring and screwed in mount.

The exact part I needed. Installation was simple. Just removed the hinge pin on the right side of the mower, put the flap in place and threaded the pin back in with allen wrench. Much better than the bungie cords I used to hold the broken door in place!
