This Auger Pulley is an OEM direct from Husqvarna for use with snow blowers. The auger pulley connects the drive belt to the auger gearbox to rotate the auger blades. The most common reasons for replacing the auger pulley are if the auger is not spinning, is spinning slowly, or is spinning loudly. This part is sold individually. The tools that you will need to replace the auger pulley are a 1/2” socket, 3/8” socket, pliers and a 7/8” socket.

how do you stop the impeller pulley from turning to get the bolt off

Hi Scott, Thank you for the question. We suggest holding the pulley with a pair of pliers to stabilize the pulley when removing the bolt. We hope this helps!

Parts Used
Remove the front piece of the blower. In my case two bolts removed the auger and the front housing. Remove the seized pulley bolt use the bolt to install new one while makig sure the belt is back on prior to final pulley installation. Test the auger engagement level. Oil all the joints in the control arm. Make sure your hand controllers are in good working order. Re-instal front auger housing and test the blower.
