This high-quality part is supplied by the original equipment manufacturer. It is specially designed for Whirlpool dryers. A dryer's idler pulley helps to apply tension on the belt that rotates the drum. Unfortunately, over time it may wear out or get damaged eventually requiring a replacement. Make sure to refer to the owners manual and the appropriate diagrams of your model for the exact location and the correct installation of this part. This assembly includes one durable plastic pulley, a tri-ring and a washer. To perform this repair you will need a wrench set, a screwdriver, and pliers to take apart and reassemble the housing.

The inside of the pulley wheel bearing had become excessively worn larger. The new part came with a washer and the retaining key that keeps it in place.
Slide off the old wheel, replace with the new parts, route the belt and the dryer works again.
Quick note about dryers: Clean the excess lint off the inside of the unit every so often. It will kill the motor from excess heat and it could also become a fire hazard.
