This fuel tank is a genuine Echo replacement part, not an aftermarket substitution. It is specially manufactured for use on a variety of handheld lawn and garden equipment such as trimmers. It is very important to replace the fuel tank if it is cracked or damaged to avoid damage or serious injuries. Please note, this plastic fuel tank is sold individually. The fuel line and the cap are all sold separately.
Removed the gas tank and fuel lines from machine.
Installed all new parts on new gas tank, then mounted assembly to the edger , connected lines to carb.
FYI; Dish detergent helps when installing new fuel lines thru the rubber grommet, and getting the grommet installed in the gas tank
1. Removed all engine covers and bad parts
2. Removed engine from trimmer mounting
3. Completely cleaned entire assembly before replacing parts
4. Cleaned magneto & flywheel. reinstalled magneto and checked spacing
5. Installed new fuel lines in new tank with new tank grommet
6. Reassembled all clean parts.

8. After the test my neighbor\'s weed eater was broke and asked to borrow mine. It ran like new and he wanted to keep it but returned it after a few hours.(NOTE) There is almost no air gap adjustment between the flywheel and magneto. too close, the magneto could scrape the flywheel. too far and you get a weaker spark.

Carb was not metering fuel properly, and needed rebuilding.
Took off the carburetor and disassembled it completely. Cleaned the bare metal body with carb cleaner and blew it dry with compressed air. Rebuilt it with the gasket and reed kit, reinstalled it and then put on the new fuel tank, fuel filter, air filter, tank grommet and new fuel and vent lines. Unscrewed tank protection bracket, removed screws for the fuel tank. Removed fuel lines from carburetor. Pulled black rubber hose plug from tank (note orientation) Cleaned in tank filter with brake clean and air. 1. Remove old tank
2. Install fuel grommet into tank
3. Reinstall fuel lines, easiest way is to cut end at an angle. Tie thread to the fuel line and feed it through the grommet and tank opening. Then pull the fuel line into the tank. 4. Put the fuel tank into place and secure.
5. Fuel up and go to work.
