This is a manufacturer approved replacement cover designed for use with Echo handheld lawn and garden equipment. The purpose of this cover is to secure air filter element which is sold separately, and it protect internal parts like carburetor from dirt and debris. It is made from durable plastic and it is sold individually. Note this assembly includes the metal wing nut that is used to secure it.
Took off the carburetor and disassembled it completely. Cleaned the bare metal body with carb cleaner and blew it dry with compressed air. Rebuilt it with the gasket and reed kit, reinstalled it and then put on the new fuel tank, fuel filter, air filter, tank grommet and new fuel and vent lines. Echo trimmer 15 yrs old, replacement of broken parts.
1. Remove air filter cover, install new choke-run label on new cover, make sure of proper orientation of label.
2. remove/replace air filter, install new cover. save the nut bracket for the future.
