Dumped all fuel into a gas can. Used a wire shepherd\'s hook that I made from a hangar, and used it to pull the fuel pipe to the tank opening and popped it out of the tank. Then, removed the grommet using a wide blade screwdriver to get it started out of its seat. Once there, I removed the fuel pipe, fuel line & return, and pulled the brass lines from the old grommet.

Reassembly with new components is simply the same in reverse order. Once completed, install new fuel filter and use the shepherd\'s hook to move the fuel pipe/filter to its original position in the tank.

Removed the tank grommet then pulled out the old filter, replace the filter on the fuel tube with the clip. And the inserted the new filter back in. The old fuel filter looked fine but the saw just would not run. I decided this might be a cheap fix if it worked. The saw ran great after replacement of the fuel filter. I removed thew air fi lter cover and replaced the air filter, then reinstalled the air filter cover.
