1. Remove four bolts on the valve cover.
2. Scrape and clean the old gasket off.
3. Install the new gasket with a slight bit of black RTV to hold in place.
4. Tighten four bolts.

Lawn Tractors front axle had started to bent on the left side causing it to eventually crack at a weak point.

Elevated front of mower to remove the Tie Rod from both Left and Right Spindle Assemblies and then both Spindle Assemblies from old Axle. Next removed 5/8-11 bolt and lock nut that fastens the Front Axle to the Front and Rear Axle Braces. Next removed bolts that hold the front Axle Brace along with Front Chassis Suspension Bracket to remo ve Axle. Next Reinstalled the new Front Axle with new Axle Brace Spacer and Axle Spacer back onto the mower in the reverse order of disassembling. Replaced all Bearings for both Left and Right Spindles and installed onto the new Axle. Next installed new Draglink Bushing to the right Spindle and installed Tie Rod. Remember to grease both the Axle Spindles and Both Tire Spindles.

Axle assembly loose

1. Removed cotter pin and disconnected axle assembly from steering linkage rod.
2. Removed \"C\" clip and washer at top of axle assembly and removed the axle assembly from mower frame.
3. Removed old bearing sleeve from top of mower frame and the lower one from axle assembly.
4. Installed new bearing sleeve onto axle ass embly and one into top of mower frame.
5. Lubricated stem of axle assembly with grease.
6. Installed axle assembly into mower frame.
7. Installed retaining \"C\" clip and washer onto top post of axle assembly.

Disconnected the muffler .
Disconnected the mower deck.
Installed the new axle and bushings.
Replaced the muffler and reconnected the mower deck.

1. Had to remove the mower deck
2. Disassemble the steering column.
3. Once disassembly was completed, the rest was straight forward. It wasn\'t all rusted fast. Things came apart easily.

Remove and replace old parts. Grease and back in business. Shipping very slow due to waiting for a part. I think the order should have been sent out id two batches. But that\'s just me.

Steering sector gear worn so only turn wheel in one direction, other way gears slipped

Already had all steering parts for steering wheel & shaft removed from tractor
1. Replaced Babbitt flange bearing in support bracket.
2 Installed new sector gear with new bushings and old thrust washers into support bracket
3.Installed support bracket into tractor (most difficult part)
4. Installed exist shaft thro ugh support bracket bearing with new bushings & exist thrust washers through to upper support. Aligned gears to center position and secured shaft with new ring clip (not easy either).
5. Attached existing drag link to gear and safety switch to bracket.
6. Mounted exist steering wheel to shaft and tested steering.
NOTE: All parts mounted perfectly EXCEPT I had to chase the threads of the new sector gear to remove paint overflow.
