1. Removed steering wheel nut.
2. Removed steering wheel.
3. Disconnected the battery (2 bolts) and removed the battery and battery box (2 screws).
4. Removed old steering bushing.
5. Reassemble in reverse verse sequence.

slid new bushing on shaft
used hammer and section of pipe to drive bushing into frame

You have to remove the steering wheel, battery, disconnect electronics and remove the cowling. The old bushing can be popped out with a screwdriver & hammer. Slide the new bushing in and replace everything that was disconnected or removed.

1. Took off the steering wheel and slipped the old bushing off the top of the steering shaft.
2. Pushed the new one down the steering shaft and into place. Ez peezy.
3. The hub axle cap just pushes on, no tools needed.
4. The biggest problem was getting the parts, it took almost a month.

Steering rod from steering wheel plastic guide bushing worn out.

First remove steering wheel from steering shaft using 3/4\" socket then remove plastic housing that supports gas lever and blade engagement lever by removing 5 phillip head screws lay over to one side. Using small prybar remove old plastic steering rod bushing one side at a time. Slide old bushing up shaft and dispose then slide new plast ic steering rod bushing down shaft assembly. Use caution while installing new bushing it will break easily. Line up new bushing with the center lip press one side into notch at a time. Reinstall plastic housing supporting the gas lever and blade engagement lever using the 5 phillip head screws, reinstall steering wheel components now your back in business.

Removed steering wheel, removed steering column and replaced plastic column bushing. Reinstalled column and steering wheel. Removed mowing deck from mower, Removed pulleys from mandrels, remove blades and mandrels from deck. 10 of 12 fasteners broke, so make sure to order new screws to attach new mandrels! Installed new mandrels with new fasteners, install blades, pulleys, and belt. Grease new mandrels and reattach mowing deck to mower.

Sloppy steering

Take off steering wheel cover
Take off steering wheel
Use knife and flathead screwdriver to pop out old bushing
Install new bushing with tan facing forward
You will not be able to just push it down into place
Use a piece of pipe or handle from larger car jack sleeved over steering rod
Rest an open ended wrench over the top of the new bushing about half way
Rest pipe onto wrench and bushing so it is even with the top of the bushing
Give the pipe a few light taps or until the bushing goes into place
Re-install steering wheel and cover
Takes about 10-15mins

Went on the net to learn how to repair movement in the steering wheel. Discovered there part #532-19-52-27 (which was not listed in my manual for my Husqvarna riding mower). Removed steering wheel and pulled the worn steering bushing off. Installed new bushing and solved the movement. Had to use modified pipe to force the bushing into pl ace.
