Placed the mower on a hydraulic stand. Removed the mower bed raised the front and disconnected the old draglink and replaced it with the new one. While the mower bed was off I replaced the blades. With the right tools it was a fairly easy task.

Improper bends in linkage. The part rubbed on the deck belt which slung off the pulley and shredded it.
Simple enough to remove with two wrenches, lower the deck and remove access panel in front of the seat. Remove nut ( 9/16\" ) by holding the pivot ball with second wrench ( 1/2\" ). One at each end rotating steering wheel to access. Install in reverse order. 30 minutes
Usining a 1/2\" open end wrench to hold bottom of knuckle bolt and a 9/16\" socket to remove the nut I was able to remove broken drake link quickly. Installed new one Using the same method. Be sure to turn steering wheel all the way to the right for easy access to the rear knuckle bolt.

This is a extensive repair that required the removal of hood, battery, disconnect wiring, removal of steering assembly. Care should be taken to know where bolts are located for proper replacement, mark where wires are attached on dash and don\'t get in a hurry.
