Primer Bulb would not draw gas on Mantis tiller

Removed air filter
Pulled carb off air filter lugs
Removed primer bulb
Removed gasket and inspected diaphragm melded to gasket discovering almost Imperceptible tear in diaphragm
6 days later received parts ordered online
Scraped and cleaned carb block w scraper and sandpaper
Reassembled in reverse orde r
Primed only enough to see fuel flow in lines--over priming my 4 cycle probably contributed to diaphragm failure--2cycle prime differently than 4 cycle--
Sprayed starting fluid and started on 2nd pull--runs great
