This is an original replacement part manufactured for use with Shindaiwa brushcutters, and trimmers. The breather assembly allows air in, and out of the fuel tank to relive pressure, and vacuum. This breather assembly includes the breather holder, body, valve, washer and retainer, the breather assembly is sold individually.

1. Remove tank from Brush Cutter by releasing rubber tank support straps with pliers. Do this by pulling rubber tabs up and outward.
2. After accomplishing step one, and hopefully you are working on a flat surface, if you\'re careful you can set tank down next to power assembly without removing fuel feed line from motor.
3. N ext spray a tiny bit of WD 40 around the base of the breather assembly then twist & pull upward on it with pliers. Do not fret if it cracks as it is being replaced anyway:)
4. After breather assembly is out remove the breather grommet by prying the edge up a bit with a flat-head screwdriver and lift it out...this may take a bit of finagling if it is old and stiff.
5. Push in new grommet...a bit of WD 40 helps.
6. Push in new breather assembly and that\'s it. Engine runs a lot better when air can replace fuel as it\'s being used.

Bush cutter had weak compression, and, no spark

1. Remove Fuel tank Assembly (remove straps and hose)
2. Remove Carburetor from cylinder (remove screws and gaskets, clean with Carburetor cleaner)
3. Disassemble and Remove the Cylinder from the Crankcase (remove screws and gaskets)
4. Remove Muffler from the Cylinder (remove cover plate and screws)
5. Remove Pist on from Crankcase (remove lock pins and bearing)
6. Remove Ignition Coil from Flywheel
Note: With the exception of the Ignition Coil and Muffler, I use carburetor cleaner to clean the cylinder and carburetor (internal/external)
7.Reverse the steps to reassemble- replacing the parts that are unserviceable with the new part(s).
Note: The gap between the ignition coil to the Flywheel is approx. one business card apart.

Fuel primer, valve and breather seals were deteriorated from storage and had to be replaced.

Removed and replace tank fuel pick up, breather and associated seals.
Reinstalled fuel tank
lubricated head on brush cutter
Replaced cutting wheel on brush cutter
Cleaned air filter and replaced spark plug.
Started unit for the first time in seven years of storage.
