Clutch cable broken

Remove clutch handle by pulling one side toward center. Roll old cable off clutch handle. Remove one bolt from cover plate on arm. Remove cover plate to facilitate removing and replacing old cable. Loosen two screws attached to clutch cable and remove old cable. Thread new cable through arm and roll one end on clutch handle. Replace clutc h handle. Loosen and remove two cap screws on cover over belt and clutch. Pull cover slightly back and connect new cable to clutch. Replace cover screws. Tighten screws over each end of cable on tiller arm. Ensure that pulling clutch handle moves the clutch. Start tiller and check to see if clutch cable needs to be adjusted. Mine did not need further adjustment.

1. Cut old clutch cable off at top and bottom. Using dikes.
2. Loosened clamps hold cable in place and removed old cable
3. Attached new cable near engine.
4. Removed upper shroud to gain access to feeding cable through to handle.
5. Removed clutch bar and fed cable over clutch bar.
6. Reattached clutch bar.
7. Reattached upper shroud.
8. Reattached clamps holding cable in place.
9. Started engine and affirmed the cable was adjusted properly.

2 removed side cover
3 removed old belt
4 put new belt on
5 sprayed the screws to the cable
6 removed screws to cable
7 removed cable
8 put new cable on and tighten the screws be sure to adjust cable to your machines specs

A Chain broke on the wheel drive in the gear box of a Charftman rear tine tiller .

1 Took the tiller all apart
2. Split the gear box in half
3 . took out all the gears and sifter
cleaned out old grease .
4 replaced nidle bearings .
5 out new chain on .
6 replaced all the Grears for tines and wheels .
7 replace gasket .
8 bolted gearbox back to gether and put fream back on gearbox .
9 Ran it and its all working . Tilles and wheels pull as it all should . On A Craftman REAR tine Tiller .

Removed the clutch and belt cover to get to the cable. Replaced cable, belt and cover. ThatÆs it took about 15 minutes.

Cut old cable off, installed the new one. Fairly simple to do. Belt housing had to be removed and wheel.
