Took off the cover for the self propelled drive pulley. Next I Loosened the bolts holding motor to the mower deck. Placed belt around front drive pulley. Then put the belt around the motor drive pulley. Then I tightened the bolts holding the motor to the mower deck. Lastly I put the cover back on for the self propelled drive pulley. 15 m

Make sure you get the right belt. Removed front wheel cover by removing four screws from mower deck. Replaced belt over drive pulley and around blade shaft pulley.
1. Remove front plastic wheel drive cover
2. Tip mower on side away from carb and remove blade and plastic shaft cover.
3. Remove old belt then the tension spring.
4. Install new tension spring and belt.
5. Replace covers and blade.

Belt needed replace so replaced blade after 13 years
Pulled front cover put on stand. Took off blade. Put belt on then blade. Tighten tension on belt. Put cover back on took off stand. Started mower and mowed grass

1.Removed front drive wheels
2 Remover drive gears
3 Removed mower blade
4 Removed 2 engine bolts that hold belt cover on
5 Removed belt
6 Reassembled all back with new parts in reverse order.

The Drive belt and the drive cable needed to be replaced.

1. I cleaned out the drive belt housing and pulleys.
2. I removed the old drive cable.
3. I installed the new drive belt.
4. I installed the new cable.
I just worked until I figured out how to go about each part of the work.
I took the old cable off and replaced it with the new one. I also had to remove the blade in order to access the drive belt. I replaced the drive belt with the new one I ordered and sharpened the blade while I had it off. lawn mover works like new now!!!!

Self propel function was not working, replaced variable speed cable, and belt
Unplugged spark plug, removed broken cable from ties, removed screws from control handle cover to get to that end of cable. replaced handle cover and screws. only tools used phillips screw driver, and needle nose pliers.removed old belt and slid new right on. Had to drain the mower of gas and oil. Turn mower on its side, took blade off, then took belt cover off. Put the new belt on the drive pulley then the blade pulley, then replaced the belt cover and put the blade back.
