The snap clip attaches to the wheel. This is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer and used in snowblowers made by Ariens. This part is sold individually and is made out of metal. During the installation process, a screwdriver, a set of pliers, and a socket set might be needed to replace this part. It will need to be replaced if it breaks.

1. Removed wheel clips and wheels.
2. Remove bearings and hex shaft.
3. Slide out old friction wheel, taking note of washer locations.
4. Remove torx screws and install new friction wheel on wheel bearing assy.
5. Reverse steps 3-1.
Belts ok. Saved new parts for future use.

The drive mechanism on my snow blower did not work.
1. Removed the entire axle assembly
2. Cleaned all components
3. Re-assembled axle assembly and included the parts that has been worn/damaged/lost.
4. Verified that drive worked.
5. Re-assembled the rest of the machine. done.
