This is an identical replacement for a damaged or a stretched v-belt that was installed on a new unit. Note, it is the v-belt that drives the equipment. Check the owner's manual and the appropriate diagrams for your model to ensure the correct repair procedure. A wrench set will be needed to replace this component. Keep in mind this high-quality v-belt is sold in a set of two.

1. Removed wheel clips and wheels.
2. Remove bearings and hex shaft.
3. Slide out old friction wheel, taking note of washer locations.
4. Remove torx screws and install new friction wheel on wheel bearing assy.
5. Reverse steps 3-1.

Belts ok. Saved new parts for future use.

Auger stopped throwing snow, smoke smelled like rubber

1. found manual and read section of how to break down machine.
1A. syphoned gas out so machine could lay on its face.
2. removed belt cover.
3. loosened 1 bolt on each side and machine pivoted in half.
4. remove belt guard.
5. removed broken belts.
6. installed 1 belt at a time
7. reinstall belt g uard.
8. pivot halves back together.
9. start with belt cover off.
10. verify/adjust cable tension if needed.
11. install belt cover.
12.blow snow

would be 30 minute job next time

Watched a video on how to replace belts. started on the work, outside on my patio. Got old belts off no problem. started to try to get new ones on. Not like in the video, but I finally got it done. Took my son and I an hour!

Found bearing plate had fractured.
Ordered from e-replacement parts. Also ordered belts for routine maintainance.
Followed youtube procedure.
