1. Removed reel tension knob.
2. Used tooth pick to remove rubber ball.
3. Greased new parts and placed them in tension knob.
4. Replaced tension knob.

Spool tensioner would not slow down the spool during casting. If you didn\'t use your thumb to slow the spool down some, instant bird\'s nest during the cast.

1. Unscrew tensioner cap.
2. Remove rubber washer and brass thrust washer from tensioner housing. A paperclip comes in handy.
Install new rubber and brass washer.
3. You may need to add the old brass washer to fill the space. I did.
4. Screw the cap back on and adjust as needed.
5. Go fishing and catch the bi g one.
