Spool tensioner would not slow down the spool during casting. If you didn\'t use your thumb to slow the spool down some, instant bird\'s nest during the cast.

1. Unscrew tensioner cap.
2. Remove rubber washer and brass thrust washer from tensioner housing. A paperclip comes in handy.
Install new rubber and brass washer.
3. You may need to add the old brass washer to fill the space. I did.
4. Screw the cap back on and adjust as needed.
5. Go fishing and catch the bi g one.
