Product Description

?

It is a genuine OEM sourced replacement drive belt that is used on Husqvarna walk-behind lawn mowers. This is the main belt that drives the unit. Over time belts tend to wear out or stretch eventually requiring replacement to maintain a properly working unit. Symptoms of an overstretched drive belt are a gradual loss of power to the drive wheels, or difficulty engaging the drive. If the belt breaks, the drive function will stop working entirely, and you'll find yourself pushing the mower to move it across your lawn. It is made of durable, high-quality rubber and it is sold individually.

Cable to blade drive broke under neath the mower deck, blade was worn out and I went ahead and replaced the belt to the wheel drive while I was at it.

Removed blade, remove plastic cover by removing 1 screw underneath the mower and 2 small screws on top of the deck. Remove another plastic cowling under the deck by removing 4 small screws, 2 under the bagging chute cover and one on each side of the mower located between mower deck and rear wheels. Remove blade hub or blade holder, pull t he blade drive pulley (slid right off). Unscrewed the pulley on the transmission (that is mounted on the rear axle). This will give you slack in the drive belt and make it easier to pull the other half of the blade drive pulley, also I replaced this belt so it needed to come off anyway. Pulled the cable that engages the blade drive and installed the new one just like the old one comes off. Reinstall drive belt on pulley that is mounted to blade drive first and drive belt pulley on transmission second. Reinstall blade drive pulley, blade hub and blade. Replace covers and get after it.

Little story and turned out to be a good repair.
Lawn mower had sit most of a year.
Replaced carburetor. would not run. installed new fuel line and a fuel shut off to save the new carb when in storage.
In my opinion it just seems to help treating fuel and being able to run the carb dry when sending it into storage. ... Read more />Sharpened blade while I had it up on the table. With it all together (Not together right) had very little drive when I pulled the self propelled levers. So I ordered a new drive belt. Don\'t need mower in February, so I had time.
Upon taking the blade off and getting to the belt I discovered when I originally sharpened the blade I let the belt fall off the main drive pulley.
So I put the new belt on and saved the used belt (It was good) for down the road and got my 600.00 mower back with $38.00 spent on the repair.
