Broken shaft to blade adapter

Broken broken spindle bolt. Drilled 3/8 hole in broken bolt. And used a bolt extractor bit in a drill to reverse out the broken off bolt inside the spindle. Adaptor is held in place by a pulley belt which was easy to remove adapter simply slips off. New adapter slips on, and belt slipped into place. New hardened bolt used to secure the b lade into place.

Removed the old broken adapter from around the belt pulleys
Installed the new adapter ensuring the belts were on correctly
Reinstalled the blade with washer and nut and tightened.
Started mower and made one pass on lawn. Worked perfectly

To replace the adapter. Remove the blade and washers. You should be able to pull the adapter off of the spindle. If not a little persuasion will help. Then line up the key inside of the adapter with the keyway on the spindle and tap it on with a mallet. Then put the blade and washers back on.

Drilled hole into the part of the broken bolt still inside crankshaft, I then heated the bolt that was still inside the crankshaft with a propane soldering torch and used penetrating oil to soak into thread and then used an easy-out to remove the remaining half of the bolt from inside crankshaft.
I then replaced the old parts with t he new ones I had purchased from your company

Removed the old shaft hub, then placed the new one on. Aligned belts, attached the new blade and tighten the bolt with a torx wrench. Good to have the mower back in action. I\'ll have to watch for rocks more carefully as that was the cause of stripping the blade hub and shearing the bolt.
