Belt on my Mikita sander would not track. Alignment arm had worn off after many years of use.

I removed the side cover, removed mounting screws from roller plate.
Replaced all items listed above
Replaced side cover
Plugged unit into power supply
Adjusted belt tracking.

Sanding belt would not track properly

I removed the screws from the motor housing, and removed it. I then removed the retaining ring holding the shaft and front roller in the roller arm. I then removed the old tension roller arm and placed the new one with the old roller shaft cup washers and retaining ring. I placed the complete assembly in the sander housing, then installed the cup washer, roller and shoulder bolt. I then replaced the motor housing, then replaced the compression spring, flat washer and adjusting screw. The sander now tracks better then before
