This part is an OEM from Makita. The compression spring 16 is compatible with several belt sanders. The metal spring is fitted inside the frame, providing the necessary resistance for related roller components. This item is sold individually, and a screwdriver is needed for the installation.
I removed the screws from the motor housing, and removed it. I then removed the retaining ring holding the shaft and front roller in the roller arm. I then removed the old tension roller arm and placed the new one with the old roller shaft cup washers and retaining ring. I placed the complete assembly in the sander housing, then installed
