Spark plug and oil change was easy.

The fuel filter required removal of the power outlet plate and the plastic panel behind the power outlet plate which was a bit tedious, due to packed nature of the internal components. That said, it only took 30 minutes to complete the fuel filter change.

Disassembled the GX100 engine; made a list of needed parts. Shopped different sites to get the best prices on parts. Received all parts, then began the work: cleaned parts and gasket surfaces; replaced the oil seal on the case half which was reused; installed new valves & springs; assembled the connecting rod to the piston, then installed the new piston rings; carefully slid the piston into the cylinder; installed the crankshaft & attached the connecting rod to the crankshaft; slipped new timing belt around crank gear & up through to the top of the cylinder head; installed cam gear ensuring the timing was correct; applied gasket sealer to the case halves & carefully slid them together; installed case bolts. Finished building the engine, then installed it into the jumping jack.
