Remove the old seals and clean area with alcohol with a rag and Swabs clean old gunk and then install the new seals

The seals for the air cleaner cover, and body panel on my Honda EU2000i generator had disintegrated over 12 years of use.

Remove air filter access body panel. Remove old seal using small flat-blade screwdriver from channel. Clean channel with cloth. Install new seal.

Remove air filter cover. Clean old seal from channel. Clean channel with cloth. Install new seal.

Remove old seal from the top of the air filter access body panel. Cle an the seal area with a clean cloth. Remove the protective film from the new seal\'s \'adhesive side\'. Apply the new seal to the body panel. Use a small flat-blade screwdriver to position ends of seal under the channels in which the body panel seals have just been replaced.

Replace air filter cover. Tighten mounting screw with flat-blade screwdriver. Replace body panel. Tighten mounting screw with flat-blade screwdriver.

My very reliable Honda Gen Set began leaking oil slowly. I went to ereplacement parts website and a diagnostic was the oil filler gasket and it turns out that\'s all it was. For pennies and in less than 15 minutes the problem was solved and I did not get ripped off by a dealer service center.
