This cover is used with your food processor when operating in the continuous flow setting. The cover with food chute allows you to continuously add food into the processor, and it expels the food into your serving bowl as it chops and slices. This allows you to quickly prepare ingredients since you don’t need to constantly stop processing and remove the lid to add more food to the bowl. Never use your fingers to push food down the chute, always use the food pusher that came with your processor. Should you require a replacement food pusher to use with this lid chute, they can be purchased separately. As an additional safety feature, the cover needs to be locked in place for the food processor to operate. This genuine OEM part is top-rack dishwasher safe, or can be washed by hand in hot, soapy water.
