This is an authentic OEM part for use with LG Microwaves. The light socket provides power to the light bulb while holding the light bulb in place. The most common reason for replacing the light socket is when the microwave light isn’t working. This light socket is two-pronged and the bulb should screw easily into it. This part is sold individually. Here is a list of tools that are needed to replace the light socket they are a multi-screwdriver, Phillips head bit and needle-nose pliers. Make sure to remove the high-voltage capacitor from your microwave before beginning this repair.
