This part comes directly from KitchenAid. This Speed Control Knob is used on many models of KitchenAid hand mixers. This Knob is used to control the speeds of the mixer. This part is made from a dense plastic and has a hole that attaches to the post. This part should be replaced when it no longer stays on the post. To remove the old part, gently pry upward with two Flathead screw drivers on each side. To install, gently push down onto the post.
