Hello Robert, Thank you for your inquiry. The heating element is designed to maintain the heat of the water that enters and maintain the heat of the air to dry the dishes. So if your dishwasher is not drying the dishes properly, this is the first part to check, which you can do with a multimeter. Good luck with your repair.
