This is an OEM authorized replacement brush kit which is designed for use with Flotec cyclone pumping systems. As the armature rotates inside the motor housing, electrical current is transferred through carbon brushes, which are held in place by small springs. When functioning correctly, these springs apply just enough pressure on the brushes to ensure smooth and consistent contact with the armature. Unfortunately, over time parts may wear out or get damaged eventually requiring replacements to maintain proper performance. This high-quality kit includes two carbon brushes with attached lead wires, two metal springs, and two plastic brush caps. Check the diagrams of your model for the exact location and the correct installation of the new components. To perform this repair, use a flat-head screwdriver to remove brush caps. Pull out the old brushes and replace them with the new parts.
