This is an original 8inch drip bowl,from Whirlpool for electric downdraft cooktops, oven/microwave combos, and gas ranges. The drip bowl is placed underneath the heating element to collect drips, spills, and crumbs that are around the burner while cooking. To install and/or replace the drip bowl requires no tools just simply remove the heating element first and then you should be able to pull the drip bowl out. This part is made of stainless steel and is sold individually.

Removed old burner socket by cutting wiring and one screw.
Attached adapter parts to new burner socket. (Self-tapping screws was difficult to start due to smallness and size.)
Re-strung wiring from burner hole to switch location.
Spliced wiring with provided ceramic twist caps.
Reattached burner socket.
Replaced New burner and Drip Bowl.
Tested for proper operation.
Done.
