Decided to replace any parts attached to the gas tank while I had the old one off. Could not find a new drain valve but did replace the drain grommet. Placed grommet on valve first, then forced that assembly into tank. Not trying to be funny here, but if you know which end of a tool goes in your hand and which end is applied to the item you are working on, this is no challenge.

All I had to do was add a drop of oil to the grommet and push it into place. Then push the copper valve back into the new grommet and attach the fuel lines.

    1) Leaned generator on side so gas would not flow out of bottom of gas tank. Then removed the old grommet.
    2) Used oil to lube inner and outer areas of the new grommet to help create water tight seal.
    3) Made sure no debris was on nozzle of shut off valve and or in "hole" of gas tank.
    4) Put grommet on shut off valve end, then poked it into gas tank making complete seal.
    5) Ba Da Bing, Ba Da Bam! Done.
